Kolkata, January 21, 2016 (News Team): Skipper Limited, one of the market leaders in the power transmission business in India, sets up one of India’s largest galvanizing plant in Uluberia (West Bengal). The plant will be dedicated towards structures which are 2.5m in diameter and 12 m length. The plant will have a galvanizing capacity of 8000 tonnes per month. It will enhance Skipper Limited’s manufacturing capacity in Towers and Monopoles of the highest size.

By enhancing their manufacturing capacity in Towers and Poles, Skipper Limited aims to support the Prime Minister’s initiative of ‘Make In India’. Currently the company has a manufacturing capacity of approx. 200,000 MT in Power T and D and 35,000 MT in PVC Pipes in India.
The company has 5 state-of-the-art construction manufacturing facilities in Uluberia, Junglepore, Ahmedabad and Guwahati. The 2 under construction units are in Hyderabad and Sikandrabad.
