Ludhiana, December 19, 2014 (Neel Kamal Sonu): Annual Sports Meet organized by ABC Montessori School Basant Avenue Ludhiana, as around 150 students congregated for its annual sports day.

Pupils at ABC Montessori School took part in a sports and achievement day.

Students from Classes Pre Nursery and Nursery found a platform to showcase their sporting talents in a string of events. The opening ceremony was done by the Little Cheer Leaders who cheered and boosted the spirits of the majestic montessorians with scintillating songs like Chak De India, Hum India wale and Beats of Dhol. The Combined events included Little champs, Balancing the ball, Hurdle race, Love birds, Made for each other, Umbrella race, Car race Hopping race, Bindi race, Monkey jump, Bursting the balloon, Ready for kitty party, Colour matching game, Chati race and Unity is strength.

Competitive spirit ran high as several houses of the school vied for the top spot. The event was witnessed by lot of parents who were all praises for the students and event organizers. Students also performed on the themes of aerobics Team Spirit - United we Stand, Divided we Fall. Montessorians girls of Nursery class performed very beautifully to the tunes of Rajasthani Dance. Children and their parents enjoyed the colorful events. Prizes were distributed among winners as well.

School Director Amanpreet Singh Arora and Charandeep Singh said, “Students should participate in sports without being conscious of wins or loses as winners don’t wait for chances, they take them and in ABC Montessori School every child is a leader. We have given the children wings to fly high and high like an eagle.”

The School Principal Sarabjit Kaur also motivated students to participate in extra-curricular activities as well as sports. She also said, “Our pupils had a wonderful time demonstrating the skills they have acquired over the year. It was marvelous to see our children participating and having fun with their families. Sports and creative arts form an important part of our pupils curriculum and we are delighted that parents have this opportunity to celebrate their child’s achievements.”
