Dr Priti Adani lays foundation stone for Adani Vidya Mandir 

Chhattisgarh, February 08, 2016 (News Team): Dr. Preeti Gautam Adani, Managing Trustee of Adani Foundation, today laid the foundation stone of the building of most awaited Adani Vidya Mandir. 

On this occasion, she also launched mobile medical service and integrated health program Sanjeevani W for villagers.

Addressing the community in proposed building premises of Adani Vidya Mandir, Dr. Adani said,” It is a very pleasant moment for me that after a long time I am with you. I have been always hearing a lot about successful operation and activities of Parsa Kente coal project. Today, I am proud and happy to see that Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd and Adani Enterprises Limited are doing number of good works for community under Corporate Social Responsibility. These works are getting a great response and support from villagers.”

She said that the goal behind the construction of this building is to provide quality education to students to prepare them for future competition.

The new school, she said, will be like schools of big cities as we believe our children should have all those facility currently availed by children of cities.

Hence, our proposed new school classes would have smart classes where kids will be taught through the computer. There will be proper seating arrangements in the class room. There will be a playground where children will learn different sports under the supervision of coach. Our teachers have separate staff room and there will be a library for children and teachers so that they could develop their full potential.

Currently, this school is running up to class 5 while the new school will have classes till 12th. One new class will be added each year.

The new school would be recognized by CBSE board, New Delhi. It is important to note that children of villages affected by Parsa Kente coal mining project are being provided free quality education at Adani Vidya Mandir.

The school provides education in English medium. Currently, 381 children are enrolled from various villages.

On this occasion, Dr. Adani launched mobile medical vehicle for good health of the community.

The vehicle will have skilled physician and team and have facility to test major diseases like Malaria, Dengue, Typhoid and Jaundice.

Along with this, Sanjeevani W program was launched to spread awareness among the public to improve health facilities. The program is an integrated health development program for women and children. Women from villages are being identified and given basic training to address the health problems. Our Swasthya Sangini will be associated with health programs of government.

She said three self help groups have been given mini rice mills under the women empowerment program. This will enable our sisters to earn money. This will also help villagers to save unnecessary expenses. She said that recently she got an opportunity to meet Padma Shri winner Fulban bai of Chhattisagarh and hoped the women will take inspiration from her.

On this occasion, Dr. Adani said that various programs under CSR like agriculture, horticulture, sustainable livelihood skills development, dairy programs, animal husbandry, bee-keeping would be started.

The CSR team is committed for overall development of villages. In today's program, Dr. Adani said that contribution of Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited under CSR is highly laudable.
