Ludhiana, November 03, 2014 (Neel Kamal Sonu): Punjab College of Technical Education (PCTE) student Bhawanpreet Kaur Barrhing Student of B.Sc. Biotech 2012 batch of PCTE stood First in University in fourth semester PTU Examinations. She scored 89.50% marks, Ushina Verma of CCT Landran stood second and Radhika Chauhan along with Simran Singh Sachdev students of same batch from PCTE secured Third position with 86.13% marks in University Examinations.
In addition students of same batch from PCTE Ruchi Sharma secured Ninth position and Kuwinder Kaur along with Rajwinder Kaur secured Tenth Position in University Examinations. In Biotech 2013 batch Gurneelam Kaur from PCTE stood Third in second semester university examinations whereas Gimmi Sacher, Antarpreet Kaur and Gaganpreet Kaur from PCTE stood sixth, seventh and eighth respectively in university exams.
Bhawanpreet Kaur Barrhing said that, “I thank god for this success and also my teachers and parents who supported me. There is a lot of hard work and consistent devotion involved to achieve top university position''. In addition Radhika Chauhan said “It was the regular support and guidance of faculty members who helped her to perform so well and understand concepts”. Simran Sachdev said that "It is a moment of pride for my parents and I am happy to achieve this result.”
Dr. S.K Munshi, Head of Biotechnology Department PCTE said that, “Bhawanpreet Kaur Barrhing was dedicated to secure university position. He said that Biotech Students of PCTE have always performed exceptionally well in University Examination". He further added that “Students at PCTE not only perform well academically but also excel in extracurricular activities on campus in order to achieve overall developement.”
