Amritsar, November 08, 2014 (Black Studio): It’s been a very long break for Babbu Maan but the Punjabi heartthrob is now all set to make his comeback as Baaz. The film being eagerly awaited by Babbu’s fans and lovers is a police criminal tiff. It is a joint presentation of Star Entertainers, Royal Entertainment Co. and KG Productions. Along with Babbu other star faces include Pooja Verma, Yograj Singh, Sardar Sohi and Mukul Dev. Simerjit Singh has directed the film and the producers are Bobby Garcha, Sukhjinder Singh Bahia, Gurdeep Singh Bahia and Khushwant Grewal. Slated for a release on 14th November, the promotion of the film has already taken off and the cast was in city today for the same.
“Enni Vi Nahi Maadi Police Punjab Di” is the song which somewhere explains the whole theme of the film. Efforts have been made to put forward a good image of the state’s police with Baaz. Babbu explains, “I am playing the role of Inderpal Singh Sidhu who is an honest police officer. The film gives a social message about the good policemen in the force. Being the lyricist of the film, I have tried to pen good words about the police according to the theme of the film.” Babbu himself has composed the music too which is being loved on TV channels and social networking websites.
Mukul Dev is playing the bad man Darbara Singh in the film who is a social worker in people eyes but actually a criminal. Mukul said that I believe that this industry loves me in negative characters and I really love working here. Director Simerjit mentioned that working with Babbu was like relishing every moment of the shooting schedule. He is a serious artist and performs every task with dedication. He does not even waste a second when it comes to preparing and performing.
Pooja Verma is the leading lady of the film said, “Working with this team was a dream come true and I am honored to have worked with such creative people.” Dinesh Aulakh from Speed Records mentioned that we have high hopes from this project.
All the producers of the film love the fact that Babbu is playing the lead. They said that Babbu’s presence in the film is like the promotion itself. He is one of the most loved artists of this industry and we are thankful to him for his nod. We were all full of queries until the date of release wasn’t finalized. Now that the film is releasing, we are keeping our fingers crossed and seeking blessings from the audience for its success.
The action packed film has been penned by Dheeraj Rattan who has written the screenplay too along with Rajesh Verma. The electrifying dialogues have been written by Babbu Maan, Rajesh Verma, Surmeet Maavi and Jatinder Lal. Ashish Chauhan is the associate producer and the film will be digitally managed by One Digital Entertainment.
