Mumbai, March 17, 2016 (Akash Sharma): A woman of substance, Sonali Kulkarni may not be seen in many Bollywood movies but the actress is content with the way her career is shaping up. Well renowned in Marathi industry, Sonali is known for her power packed performances in films like Daayraa, Dil Chahta Hai and The Good Road. Now adding another feather in her hat, Sonali is all set and excited for her Hindi television debut with the show Tamanna on Star Plus.

When asked the actress what made her take up this role to make her fiction debut on the television, the actress said, “Ajinkya Deo convinced me to do this role. I’ve known the brothers (Ajinkya and Abhinay Deo) since longest time now and I’m sure they can never go wrong and leave no effort in any project they work on. I was skeptical earlier to sign for a television show as I thought it might affect my film and theatre commitments but Ajinkya Deo ensures I’m pampered like a baby on the sets.”

Giving details about her character, the actress added, "After the first narration, I fell in love with the character Nandita, she is a lawyer and counselor. She is very confident and can never tolerate injustice. The concept of the show is so relevant and like a fresh breath of air amidst the mundane saas-bahu shows on TV"
