Shimla, August 23, 2015 (News Team): The ancient glory and architect of the temples should be maintained at all cost said Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh while addressing public meeting in Khushala in Gram Panchayat Jalel. 

Taking cognizance of the new twin temples constructed in the complex of the ancient old Hanuman temple at Khushala the Chief Minister said that the pristine glory of old temple could have been restored by renovating the same in traditional architect rather than erecting new temples in the same campus covering the traditional one. The new temples would have been constructed nearby as enough space was available. The Chief Minister said that  Himachal was a treasure house of age old temples and our duty was to maintain its sanctity and if any restoration was required to be done, it should be done in the traditional manner keeping intact the art and architect.

A lot has been done in Shimla Rural constituency as it was far lacking behind as far as development was concerned, he said, adding that he believes that the entire state was his home and the government was endeavoured for equitable and overall development of all the areas of the State so as to make Himachal a pioneer hill state in the country in terms of progress and development.

“I believe in work rather than giving prolonged speeches. Motive of my government is to provide all basic facilities to the people at their door-steps and improve the living condition of those residing in rural and far flung areas. We want that people have the basic facilities as roads, education, health, power etc,” said the Chief Minister.

The old Kangra style of paintings and scriptures lying with language and Culture department would be restored in the temple, assured he. The Chief Minister assured that all the demands of the area would be looked into sympathetically. He assured for up-grading of PHC to CHC at Shogi.

He also inaugurated the newly constructed building of the temple. The Chief Minister announced a sum of Rs 7000 to the children of local government school for promotion of cultural activities.

President BCC, Shimla, Chander Shekhar, Ex-Chairman Zila Parishad, Shimla Satya Dev Sharma and Devendar Sharma, Ex-President BCC welcomed and honoured the Chief Minister.

They also placed the demands of the area before the Chief Minister and demanded financial assistance for construction of sarai (inn) in the campus of ancient Hanumana temple at Khushala and Community Health Centre (CHC) at Shogi.

President Gram Panchayat, Hardev Rohal, and Vice-President, Jalel Lalit Sharma also welcomed the Chief Minister.

President BCC, Shimla, Chander Shekhar, Chief Organiser, Congress Sevadal, Anurag Sharma, Ex-Chairman Zila Parishad, Shimla Satya Dev Sharma and Devendar Sharma, Ex-President BCC,  Director, BoD, HPSIDC, PK. Sharma,  Deputy Commissioner, Dinesh Malhotra, Chief Engineer PWD, Ashok Chauhan, were also present on the occasion amongst others.
