Shimla, December 09, 2015 (News Team): A spokesperson of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said here today that the date for preparation of digitized ration cards in Shimla town has been extended upto 27th December, 2015. 

He said that an assistance centre was functional at the Directorate of the Department whereas four such centres were functioning in the office of District Controller Food and Civil Supplies in D.C. office complex Shimla for the facility of the consumers to get their ration cards digitized. He had urged the consumers of Shimla town to get verified their digitized data from the concerned fair price shop so that digitized ration cards could be provided to them in time. He said that if digitized data was found correct in fair price shop, the consumers need not to approach assistance centres.

He said that consumers could contact at toll free number 1967 for any queries in this regard or know the status of digitized ration cards on departmental website: epds.co.in.
