Amritsar, April 28, 2015 (Munish Sharma): Delhi Public School’s Ira Kaundal secured 181 marks out of the total of 360 in JEE Main and cleared the preliminaries. The cut off marks for the same were 105. The 16-year old class 12th student expressed the desire that if given the choice she would like to opt for Scientific Research.

Congratulating the bright student, school principal Sangeeta Singh said that she was overjoyed with Ira’s achievement who was the second student of the school to have made it in JEE.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common engineering entrance examination conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country. In 2012, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) announced this common examination in place of AIEEE and IIT-JEE. According to an estimate about 13 Lakh students appeared from India this year for this prestigious entrance test for admission to various Engineering colleges in the county.
