MasterChef India 4’s promising finalist Drishti Nanda pay obeisance at Golden temple in Amritsar on March 05, 2015

Amritsar, March 05, 2015 (Munish Sharma): MasterChef India 4’s promising finalist Drishti Nanda visited her hometown Amritsar today. She has come a long way to reach the Top 12 list of MasterChef India 4. MasterChef is Drishti’s opportunity to prove her and this means a lot to her.

Drishti, all of 23 years belongs to Amritsar and lives there with her parents and a younger sister. She takes small orders of baking and cooking at home for small parties etc. She was never interested in studies, so she ventured into business. At 18 years of age she started her bakery and cafeteria in partnership but she had to shut it down after a year because she had to study.

An overwhelmed Drishti says, “Amritsar is my home-town and I am extremely proud of my city which taught me cooking. MasterChef India 4 is my first step towards fulfilling a dream. I am glad and overjoyed that the people of Amritsar have showered so much love and blessings over me. I hope that I make them proud.’’

If Drishti wins the MasterChef India 4 title she plans to open her own kitchen where she will teach cooking and have a separate lounge too. She added, “MasterChef India 4 has given me a golden opportunity to prove my own mettle. I will work extremely hard to win the title and make my dreams come true. Also, we finalists are privileged to have experts like Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Chef Vikas Khanna and Chef Ranveer Brar to groom us and give us direction which slightly eases our pressure.” This season of MasterChef India 4 is all vegetarian season which is also a challenge for the finalists.
