Ludhiana, April 11, 2015 (Neel Kamal Sonu): ABC Montessori School (BRS Nagar) celebrated Punjab’s harvest festival Baisakhi. Girls were dressed up as Punjabi mutiaars and boys as Punjabi gabroos. The kids were looking nice in their outfits. Teachers and the whole staff were dressed up in traditional attires.

Baisakhi which is an occasion of fun and frolic had been losing its charm, so to revive its tradition the little ones were brought forward to know Punjab’s religious and harvest festival. They were also introduced with an activity in which the golden glow of Punjab’s field was shown to them. The teachers told them the importance of paddy crop in our day to day life in the form of Chapatti, Bread and Pizzas.

Montessorians had distributed Kheer among the tresspassers. Seerat, Aarihaan, Aaryan, Nitaansh, Vaanya, Kangana, Nivaan, Jasmine, Pavit, Kudrat, Gurisha, Bhavya, Gurshan, Harkirat, Harasees, Guransh, Ganeve, Sehajleen, Gursahib, Gurvansh and Harman also enjoyed dancing on the beats of Dhol and Music.

Speaking on the occasion the Director Amanpreet Singh Arora said that “Little ones add color to all the festivals and especially Baisakhi which is the festival of golden harvest is incomplete without a lovely celebration by the kids.”
