Students of GNIMT on the Industrial Visit 

Ludhiana, September 28, 2015 (Neel Kamal Sonu): Training and Placement Cell and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) students’ Chapter of Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GNIMT), Gujarkhan Campus, Model Town, Ludhiana organized an industrial visit for MCA 5th Semester students to different IT companies i.e. CETPA Infotech Pvt. Ltd, DUCAT Technologies Pvt. Ltd, TATA CMC Ltd and DLF Cyber City located in Gurgaon and Noida. 

Rajnish Chopra, Training and Placement Officer and Nupur Sood, Coordinator Placement Cell accompanied the students. Manish, Training Manager of Ducat Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Gurgaon addressed the students and enlightened them about the latest technologies and procedures being followed in their organization. He emphasized that IT industry is changing at a fast pace and the students must prepare themselves according to the latest industry requirements. They must learn the current technologies being used in the industry.

On the same day students visited DLF Cyber City Gurgaon. Five teams of 7 students each visited Microsoft Ltd, Oracle Technologies, TATA BPO, Toshiba, LG Technologies, Canon Ltd. The students gave interviews in the respective companies for their training and got good exposure from there. Next day the students visited the companies like CETPA infotech Pvt. Ltd and TATA CMC Ltd in IT Park Noida. Varun, Training Coordinator of Tata MC Ltd. interacted with the students and enlightened them about different technologies used in their company. They conducted the aptitude test of 40 minutes duration for the students. Atul, Branch Manager, CETPA Infotech Pvt. Ltd Noida addressed the students and enlightened them about the career in different areas of IT industry. He also guided the students about the criteria of training in their company. He told the students that the chance of growth in IT Park Noida and Gurgaon is vast as compared to other places.

Dr. (Col) H.S. Singha, Director of the institute expressed his sincere thanks to the companies for permitting the students to visit their premises. He also advised the students that they must equip themselves with latest technologies and be industry ready as advised to them by the officials of companies that they visited.
