Ludhiana, November 14, 2015 (Neel Kamal Sonu): The physics society of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana organized an exhibition on the occasion of “International week of science and technology” under the guidance of Sangeeta Sharma, head of Physics Deptt. with an objective to encourage and inculcate the scientific temper amongst students. The participants put up an array of exhibits on this occasion.
These exhibits were indeed eye openers on various topics like green energy usage, technology, environment and many more. The projects like hydraulics, Infrared Imaging, theft control system, earth quake detector and alarm drew a lot of interest amongst the viewers. More over sundial near the entrance of the exhibition hall was the great attraction for everyone. On top of it all the fun with physics section was swarming throughout the length of the event as students enjoyed the lighter side of mighty physics.
The exhibition was a huge success. Enthusiasm and effervescence overflowed amongst the students and the teachers. Gurdeep Kaur and Parminder Kaur were the Judges for the event. Gul, Ravneet and Vanita stood first in model making for hydraulics system, Sonu Verma stood 2nd for cheap escalator. Navleen was awarded the 3rd position for the robot toy. And consolation prize was given to Medha and her team for water auto cut system. In the activities first prize was bragged by Anu Nagpal and Rajni and Second by Neha and her team. Besides this Guneet and Sehaj were stated first in Poster making for Nuclear Science in daily life and Eashavdeep and Gagandeep bragged second prize.
Principal Mam Dr. Mukti Gill Congratulated Sangeeta Sharma H.O.D. Physics and appreciated the students as well as the teachers of the department to exhibit the scientific temperament in such a artistic way. Overall it was a great learning and memorable experience for the viewers as well as the participants.
