Ludhiana, June 02, 2015 (Neel Kamal Sonu): The month long “dancing superstar of Ludhiana” contest organized by Pavilion finally culminated with the mall announcing the winners in presence of a huge audience.The occasion was graced by Professor Rajinder Bhandari, Vice Chairman Planning Commission (cabinet rank) as a guest of honour for the grand finale last Sunday. Pavilion’s initiative to provide such a platform to showcase young talent was appreciated by everyone.
The kids’ dance championship witnessed a registration by 500 dancing enthusiasts from 7 schools and 4 dance academies of Ludhiana. It was truly a tough task for the judges A.K Ladhi and Nisha Ladhi, owners and head choreographers of Dancing Yard Academy, Ludhiana to shortlist top 30 kids for the quarter final round. The zeal and passion in the participants was infectious, to say the least. 15 children qualified for the semi-finals with some nail biting dance actions. 10 children finally made it to the grand finale to claim the coveted title of Ludhiana’s Dancing Superstar on 31st May 2015.
After a rigorous battle of performance testing the skills of judges and with several anxious moments, Danish was declared the Dancing Superstar of Ludhiana, winning Rs. 10,000 as cash prize. Rajesh and Anika were awarded the titles of first runner up and second runner up with a cash prize of Rs. 7000 and Rs. 3000 respectively.
