Ludhiana, January 27, 2015 (Rajinder Ahuja): Republic Day celebrations at Pavilion culminated with smiles on the faces of children and their parents alike. 200 children of various age groups participated in the painting competition whose theme was “paint the India of your dreams”. The participants were asked to imagine and paint how they would like to see India. Many of the paintings revolved around today’s hot topics such as corruption in India, unity in diversity and Global Warming.
A fancy dress competition was also organized by the mall themed on Republic Day where 45 children participated and enthralled the visitors in the mall. The ones dressed as Gangu Tai, Incredible India, cow boy and Bharat mata were liked most by the visitors.
The three winners of the painting competition and fancy dress competition each were rewarded with cash prizes totaling Rs. 20,000 in amount by Pavilion.
