Ludhiana, September 05, 2015 (Neel Kamal Sonu): "Khalsa Devan" The Managing Committee commemorated the birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan by organizing the Teacher’s Day function to applaud the efforts of the mentors of all the sister institutes; KIMT, Malwa School, Khalsa Girls Sr. Sec. School, Malwa College of Education and Khalsa College for Women.
The function was celebrated to acknowledge the efforts of the teachers who are engaged in imparting knowledge whole heartedly and supports students even at the eleventh hour. The august gathering was enthralled with the comic play ‘Mirch Masala’ directed by Nirmal Rishi, a renowned Punjabi dramatist and actress. The other attraction of the day was a melodious solo song performance by the college alumni Dr. Harinder Hundal. She also released her first book and felt nostalgic in the presence of all her teachers. Moreover, the show was marked with the scintillating and motivated dance performance by the students of the college.
Dr. Mukti Gill, Principal extended a warm welcome to the members of management, the Principals of the sister concern institutes and the retired Principal of KCW, Harinder Dhillon and retired members of the different faculties of the college, Gurdish Singh Grewal graced the event with his words of wisdom citing the famous dictum “All for knowledge, knowledge for all”. He further added that teachers should try to set an example by boosting up the morale of the students and prove to be the role models. Dr. Mukti Gill, principal of Khalsa College for Women, while expressing her views on the occasion emphasized that teachers should tread on the footsteps of Dr. Radhakrishnan, who was an epitome of conscientiousness, diligence and dedication and thanked the august gathering for sparing their valuable time.
