Chandigarh, November 24, 2014 (Online News India): Champions Tennis League (CTL) clarified that the winners of the North and South group round robin matches would be decided by number of matches won and lost. Should there be a tie, in matches won and lost then the team with the most number of games would move into the final.
Should there be a further tie, then the head to head record between the teams would be taken, assuming only two teams are tied. A further tie would then be decided by best win loss games percentage. Thereafter it would be the most number of sets won followed by win-loss percentage of sets.
Due to injury concerns and essence of time, CTL also added that should there be an injury to the male international singles player the Indian player could take his place at the captain’s discretion to avoid a default and provide five full sets for the fans.
The CTL final will take place in Delhi on November 26 at 7pm at the R K Khanna Tennis Stadium, DLTA Complex, Opposite R K Puram Sec 2, African Av, Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi.
